The Moon-Bathed Deep in Genshin Impact is a sequence of quests related to Inazuma. To progress through the quest, you’ll need to destroy seals at the shrine, solve several puzzles, and defeat a group of enemies. If you’re having trouble completing these tasks, you can consult our detailed guide.
How to start The Moon-Bathed Deep?
To begin this mission, you need to travel to the island of Watatsumi and find the Mouun Shrine, where the priestess Tsuyuko resides. After you speak with her and agree to help the girl, she will immediately give you four world tasks that can be completed in any order. When you complete all of these tasks, the final mission in the chain will begin.
Eye of Watatsumi
After speaking with the priestess, head to the location marked on the map where you will find the “Eye”. There you will find the Ancient Stone Tablet with an inscription that you need to study.
Your task is to break the seal, for which you will need to find and disperse three clusters of electrical energy in the specified area using your elemental abilities. To locate the necessary objects, you should use your Elemental Sight.
After you dispel the cluster, mobs will attack you. Deal with them and head to the next Electro Sphere. The location of all the clusters is shown in the screenshots above. When you dispel all the clusters, return to the sanctuary and receive the Spirit Pearl as a reward. The reward will be 250 Adventure EXP, 30 Primogems, 3 Character Experience, and 25,000 Mora.
Fang of Watatsumi
Head towards the location marked “Fang” on the map and read the inscription on the ancient stele. Then, you will need to defend the monument from various enemies for 5 minutes. Each enemy killed will reduce the countdown timer by 5 seconds, so if you can quickly kill many mobs, you can significantly speed up the task.
If you’re able to quickly take out large groups of mobs, you can significantly speed up completing the task. It’s recommended to team up with Venti, Sucrose, or Kazuha to gather enemies in one place and deal massive elemental damage with Elemental Burst. This approach can help you complete the task faster.
It is recommended to use Thunder Sakura Electroganum to charge stones near the monolith, which can deal damage in a wide area. However, be careful as they will also attack you. Do not stay too long near them. After passing the trial, take the Spirit Pearl. As a reward, you will receive 250 Adventure EXP, 30 Primogems, 3 Character Experience, and 25,000 Mora.
Fin of Watatsumi
Head to the location marked on the map as “The Fin” and, as usual, examine the ancient stele located near the sanctuary. There, you will encounter a small puzzle consisting of fish statues set on two stone discs. You need to rotate the statues so that they are facing the center of their platform.
However, the problem is that when you turn the figure on one disk, a similar statue will turn on another platform. To avoid this issue, you need to follow the following steps: approach the right disk (as shown in the screenshot below) and start rotating the figures in the desired direction, ignoring the other round platform.
When you turn the fish in the right direction, the light will shine on the platform, after which you should go to the stone pillar and bow to the statue. This way, the figurines will be fixed and will stop rotating when you turn the statues on another disk.
You should go to the second platform and turn the fish statues so that they all face towards the center. You may need to turn only one statue, as indicated in the image above. After completing this task, you will receive the Pearl of the Forest and a reward consisting of 250 Adventure EXP, 30 Primogems, 3 Character EXP, and 30,000 Mora.
Tail of Watatsumi
Send yourself to the location marked on the map as the “Tail”, where you will have to deal with Fatui agents and study the inscription on an ancient stele. Then you will encounter a puzzle involving Electro lanterns. To solve it, you need to summon an Electrogranum, which can be found on the branches of Thunder Sakura, and then pass by six stone pillars.
Wait until the “lantern” lights up, and only then move on to the next one. The Electrogranum does not last indefinitely, so it is recommended to hurry with this task. Once all the pillars are lit up, pay attention to the arriving Fatui agents. It is best to destroy the Hydrogunner Legionnaires first, as they are able to heal their allies.
You can obtain the Spirit Pearl and receive 250 Adventure Exp, 30 Primogems, 3 Character Experience, and 30,000 Mora as a reward.
Heart of Watatsumi
After successfully completing the four previous tasks, you will receive an automatic task to complete the sequence. The next step is to return to Sangonomiya and speak with Tsuyuko. Then head to the gates marked on the map. To pass through the barrier, use the spirit pearls previously found. After that, you will need to enter the cave.
To achieve the desired result, you will need to turn the stone fish in the center of their platforms. Take one of the discs and start rotating the statues on it, ignoring other platforms. Once the platform lights up, you need to destroy the appearing monsters. Don’t forget to pay homage to the statue to fix the result.
Go to the next disc and turn all the fish towards the center. Then meet with Hydro Mimic again and pay homage to the statue. Head to the third stone circle and arrange the fish in the correct order. Defeat the monster and record your progress.
Now head to the last platform that was previously inaccessible. Pay homage to the statue and start turning the fish to face the center of the circle. Then deal with the mimics that will appear in large numbers, prepare for a tough fight. After defeating them, watch the cutscene.
If the mimics kill you, you will have to return to the location and go through all the stages again to deal with all the enemies. Only then can you regain access to the final stage.
After that, head to the bowl located in the center of the location and receive the Abyss Key, which was washed by moonlight. After completing this action, talk to Tsuyuko to finish the quest chain. As a reward for completing the task, you will receive 350 Adventure EXP, 40 Primogems, 3 Character Experience, 6 Mystic Enhancement Ores, and 30,000 Mora. You will also unlock the achievement “Same Moonlight”.
